Family Law and Financial Proceedings

There have been two updates regarding Family Law in the news this week:

Financial Proceedings

The Family Court now has the power in financial proceedings to order one party to make mortgage payments and or indemnify the other party against their non-payment.

Court Hours

Flexible Court Hours pilot is postponed for further consultation until February 2018. The proposals are for early sessions 8am to 10.45am and late sessions 4.30pm to 7pm to be piloted to include the family Court.
